An impressionist English landscape painting inspired by the hills and moorland scenery in the Peak District, Derbyshire, England.
In this impressionist painting I have tried to convey the quiet atmosphere and dramatic light of the upland moors with their short green grass and outcrops of rocks and old stone walls
The painting uses warm blues , purples and earthy greens, ochres and muted yellows across the hills and foreground, creating a gentle, summer feeling.

Above the rocks a cloud-filled sky occupies much of the composition. Broad areas of pale blue , heavier clouds, giving the scene a sense of changing weather and atmospheric depth.

Painted with a palette knife using quality artists paints on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white square profile wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
Please note the frame may differ slightly to the one shown due to availability.

oil on canvas, varnish, and white wood frame
