We are all different, each with our own sensitivity, our own way of seeing the world and our own way of being. It is this individuality that I wanted to express in Not Like the Others.

This female portrait, with her deep gaze and delicate features, evokes a personality that does not seek to conform. Collage, textures and fragments of lace highlight this difference, somewhere between softness and strength. The cotton thread lace, worked directly onto the canvas, extends to the stretcher frame, creating a connection between the painting and its support, between what is visible and what remains unspoken.

Acrylic paint, collage and embroidery come together to create a work in which every element finds its place, without seeking to blend into the whole.

Not Like the Others is an invitation to see difference from another perspective, not as an exception, but as a source of richness. After all, being yourself is already what makes you unique.
