Original artwork description
Paragliding Over Mediterranean Cliffs is an expressive oil pastel painting inspired by the Mediterranean coast. Two paragliders glide above the blue sea and rugged coastal cliffs, bringing a sense of movement, freedom and open space to the landscape.
The composition combines the cool turquoise and blue tones of the sea with warm ochre, orange, violet and green colours of the cliffs and coastal vegetation. Layers of oil pastel create a richly textured surface, while the sweeping shoreline and expansive sky emphasize the height and openness of the scene.
The two paragliders become small, dynamic figures within the vast Mediterranean landscape, capturing the feeling of flight above the sea and the dramatic beauty of the coastline.
