Original artwork description
Antonino Puliafico’s "Open Your Eyes" is an original oil painting on canvas in which sea, coast and the movement of water are reinterpreted through a contemporary, tactile language. Measuring 105 × 80 cm and dated 2025, the work balances immediate visual impact with close-range surface detail.
Through palette knife and impasto, Puliafico lets colour accumulate, break apart and reconnect across a visibly worked surface. A yellow palette contributes to the work’s chromatic rhythm.
In Open Your Eyes, Antonino Puliafico invites the viewer to rediscover the brilliance and energy of the landscape through the vibrant language of the palette knife. The lake or sea unfolds in golden and rose-tinted reflections, beneath a sky in motion where color shatters into a luminous dance.
The work balances immediacy and detail, offering both a strong visual impact in the room and a richly textured surface for close viewing.
The artwork is professionally protected for tracked shipping and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Materials used:
First-rate oil colors of the Florentine brand "DI VOLO" applied with spatula were used for the painting, and the pictorial support is a cottono canvas pre-painted for oil painting with Gesso and Glue.
