This work was created in a very elongated format and is part of a pair with another painting from the same series, also painted on a vertically elongated canvas.

The composition is built on an orange imprimatura, which continues onto the sides of the canvas, gradually transitioning into a soft colour gradient. A very tall tree dominates the painting, beneath which the small, almost imperceptible figures of a person and their dog can be seen. Their scale emphasizes the immense height of the tree and creates a sense of silence, solitude, and shelter.

The combination of warm orange and green tones evokes the atmosphere of a cosy autumn evening. The very elongated format enhances the vertical movement of the composition, while the expressive brushwork gives the painting a sense of vitality and emotion. It is a quiet scene in which a feeling of peace and closeness to nature is especially present.
