Original artwork description
Lotus After the Rain is an original watercolor inspired by the quiet beauty of a lotus emerging after rainfall. A soft pink blossom rises above broad, expressive leaves, accompanied by a young bud waiting for its own moment to open.
In Asian art, the lotus has long represented purity, renewal, and inner strength. Although it grows from muddy water, it rises above the surface clean and beautiful. For me, this makes the lotus a gentle reminder that difficult circumstances do not determine what we can become.
Loose brushstrokes, flowing washes, and open white space give the painting a peaceful and meditative quality influenced by traditional Asian brush painting.
This is an original hand-painted artwork, signed and stamped with my artist seal.
Materials used:
Traditional Chinese ink, watercolor, and paper
