Liberty view (2015) Linocut by Helen Boden
14.96 x 19.29" (unframed) / 11.81 x 15.75" (actual image size)
$199.92
Artwork description
This is a linocut that was inspired by the lovely staircase at Libertys in London. I also like the word as it conjures up a 'freedom to go anywhere you want' as the stairs in the print suggest.
I used a variety of lino tools to create the illusion of perspective and printed it using an intaglio press. You can see from the secondary photo that I have to cut the linocut plate in mirror image for it to print the correct way around.
Materials used:
Japanese vinyl, paper and professional oil based printmaking ink
Details:
- Linocut on Paper
- Size: 14.96 x 19.29" (unframed) / 11.81 x 15.75" (actual image size)
- Signed and numbered on the front
- Style: Photorealistic
- Subject: Architecture and cityscapes
