Le chardonneret (2025) Original Oil Painting by Jean-Pierre Walter

🎨 This composition began as a small sketch, which I then developed further until I had created the shelf on which the pewter pot stands. I was deeply moved by the incredible story behind this painting – both the life of Carel Fabritius and the fate that awaited these charming birds, which, whilst held in captivity, served as pets. Artificial intelligence has thus enabled me to restore their freedom.
