Giraffe date night (2026) Original Oil Painting by Doriana Radu

Giraffe Date Night is a playful contemporary oil painting depicting two giraffes sharing a relaxed evening in a colourful interior. Wearing sunglasses, they sit together surrounded by bold green and pink tones, wine glasses and a pizza, creating a humorous and unexpected scene.

I wanted to explore the idea of bringing wild animals into an ordinary domestic setting, turning a familiar dinner scene into something whimsical and slightly surreal. The loose brushwork, expressive colours and simplified forms give the painting a cheerful, contemporary character.

This original oil painting is part of my exploration of animals, humour and everyday moments through a colourful figurative style.
