Garden 23 (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Paco G Oria

46 x 61 x 0.2cm (unframed) / 46 x 61cm (actual image size)

$565.7

This original watercolor and Acrylic on paper is an abstract meditation over the garden, Rather than a topographic view, the work traces the park’s hidden structure: winding paths, the long artificial ría, overlapping canopies of plane, cedar and cypress, and the cool light that filters through layered foliage.
Translucent blue-grey washes and fluid linear gestures evoke water courses, hanging branches, and the slow discovery of follies among the trees. Soft bleeds and intersecting lines suggest the English landscape sections of the garden, where geometry dissolves into irregular, almost calligraphic movement. The pale ground acts as mist or winter light; darker passages recall the shaded groves and the still surfaces of ponds.
The painting belongs to a series exploring landscapes as living systems rather than monuments. It is intended to hang as a quiet, contemplative presence—cool in tone, open in composition—suitable for contemporary interiors that value restraint and atmosphere.
