First flight from the nest (2022) Original Oil Painting by Dan Laurentiu Arcus

The greatest step any being takes is the first flight from the nest.

There is a moment when what feels familiar and safe can also become a boundary.

Leaving it behind does not guarantee anything. It only makes something else possible.

Shipping note for large-scale works

Because of the size of this painting, the most practical shipping method depends on the destination. For destinations where the listed shipping rate is based on stretched transport, the work is protected in a custom-built wooden crate. For other destinations, the listed rate assumes the canvas is carefully removed from the stretcher and shipped rolled, which greatly reduces transport costs.

Alternative arrangements are always possible on request. If you would prefer the painting shipped rolled instead of stretched, or stretched and crated instead of rolled, please contact me before purchasing and I can arrange a specific transport quote. An unstretched canvas can be professionally re-stretched by a local framer after delivery.
