- FIGURES-01
Original artwork description
FIGURES-01 is an original monotype from the FIGURES series, an exploration of form, transparency, and the ambiguous space between abstraction and the human figure.
Translucent shapes appear to float, overlap, and pass through one another against a deep cyan-blue field. Their contours suggest bodies, gestures, and fragments without resolving into fixed representations. The composition invites the eye to move between positive and negative space, allowing new relationships and forms to emerge through the overlapping layers.
Created through direct exposure to light and photosensitive chemistry, the work embraces both intention and unpredictability. Variations in exposure, density, and the physical interaction of materials leave subtle traces that become part of the final image.
FIGURES-01 is a unique one-of-one original. It is not an edition or reproduction, and no identical version exists. The work is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
