Figs (2025) Original Pastel Drawing by Marina Borisova

Figs, fig fruit, still life, fruit painting, purple figs, fresh fruit, botanical art, warm colors, orange background, green leaves, expressive painting, contemporary still life, vibrant colors, nature, fine art
This painting presents a vibrant still life of ripe figs, arranged against a rich terracotta-red background. Several whole purple figs are placed alongside freshly cut halves, revealing their delicate pink-red interiors and intricate textures.

The deep violet tones of the fruit contrast beautifully with the warm orange-red background and fresh green leaves. The simplified shapes, expressive brushwork, and strong color contrasts give the composition a contemporary and decorative character.

The painting conveys a sense of warmth, abundance, natural beauty, and Mediterranean atmosphere. The rich colors and carefully arranged fruit create an inviting and harmonious still life.
