Evening dream (2025) Original Oil Painting by Ilya Filatov

The scene seems to unfold on the border between dream and reality. One figure gazes into space, just about to leap inward, while the other emerges from a window - like from another dimension - jumping into the open. Everything could be real, yet something in the frame, the color, the water, the light, suggests this might be a dream.

No words are spoken, but something is happening between the two - a sense of anticipation, the moment before movement, before closeness. The space splits into warm and cool, light and shadow, as if each of them belongs to a different side.

This isn’t a story with a beginning or end - it’s a state you want to linger in: silence, softness, tension, and the feeling that something is about to happen. Or maybe it already has.
