This photograph explores the dialogue between light, shadow, and emptiness. Reduced to a soft silhouette, the pine branch becomes less a depiction of a tree and more a gesture suspended across an open field of light.

In this work, the blurred needles dissolve into a gentle haze, allowing the shadow to exist somewhere between reality and abstraction. The generous negative space becomes an active part of the composition, giving the image room to breathe and inviting a slower, more contemplative way of looking.

The restrained palette of soft whites and muted blue-green tones creates a calm visual atmosphere where the boundaries between object and shadow begin to soften. Rather than documenting a branch, the photograph reflects on the fleeting traces that light leaves behind.
