Blue heron (2022) Original Watercolour by Daniela Roughsedge

A watercolour of a majestic great blue heron in flight. I find these big birds fascinating, suggesting both strength and grace.

Great Blue Herons appear blue-gray from a distance, with a wide black stripe over the eye. In flight, the upper side of the wing is two-toned: pale on the forewing and darker on the flight feathers.

If you are a bird lover, you'll love having a blue heron in flight, in your art collection.
