Quiet and atmospheric landscape painting.

Inspired by the beauty of the soft mist on the South Downs, on a morning walk.
Damp air, as the billowing mist blows in from the distant sea, hiding and revealing the landscape as the mist shifts.

A country lane leads your eye towards the distant hills, with small trees and hedges angled by the blowing winds.

The paint is layered thinly, over several days, to build an ethereal atmosphere, reflecting the changing landscape as sea breezes blow, that is so entrancing in this part of England, close to the Sussex coast.

Strung and ready to hang. Edges a clean white, so could be dislayed framed or unframed.

Lizzie Butler is a contemporary British painter.
She has exhibited at Leighton House Museum, Kensington, London, several London galleries and internationally.

Lizzie's work can be found in collections in America, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the UK and across Europe, with several customers returning to buy further pieces and place commissions.

"Absolutely stunning piece of art. It is very atmospheric and emotionally evocative. Could not be happier." (CR)

"I am delighted with these paintings from Lizzie, exactly what I was looking for and are even better on my walls! Thank you Lizzie, much appreciated." (SM)
