Belonging No.23 is a contemporary abstract painting on canvas that explores density, compression and structural balance through layered surface development and high-contrast composition. Created through successive applications of paint and controlled revision, the work develops a tension between layered surface movement and restraint.
The composition is organized through spatial compression, where forms are held within a tightly structured field rather than dispersed across the surface. Material depth builds gradually, resulting in a grounded sense of weight and containment. Belonging No.23 focuses on structure formed through contrasted pressure, layering and reduction.
