Before the Snowfall (2024) Original Acrylic Painting by Helen Mount

This painting grew from my fascination with changing skies and the way light transforms familiar landscapes into something entirely new. Built through layered acrylic brushwork, the composition combines soft blues, warm whites, and dark earth tones to create depth and atmosphere. Rather than portraying a specific location, it evokes the memory of open spaces where silence, water, and light offer a sense of renewal. The expressive marks and fluid paint preserve the spontaneity of the painting process while celebrating the emotional power of nature.
