Autumn Evolves (2026) Original Oil Painting by Gill Bustamante

Autumn Evolves is a large colourful, dynamic, semi-abstract Autumn landscape framed oil painting. It is 37.5 x 37.5 x 2.25 inches (in frame). This painting was inspired by walking through the Ashdown Forest on a blustery day (Winnie the Pooh’s favourite kind of day). The leaves were whirling about and the low October sun was lighting up various trees and leaves and viewpoints like a magical light show curtesy of nature herself. It felt like walking through a stage set. I could not, therefore, just paint some autumn trees - I had to find a way to add in the energy that was inherent as well as some of the forms and shapes of the trees. If you look closely, you will see a deer watching from the path (deer are always watching form somewhere…) Painted on deep edge canvas, light purple edges and framed in a white float frame.
