Approaching Horizon explores the moment when we move toward an inner boundary without knowing exactly what lies beyond it.

The composition unfolds across an open, luminous field of warm white and soft mineral tones, interrupted by blocks of natural black, charcoal grey, muted sand, pale turquoise and deep teal. The fragmented forms create a visual rhythm between weight and openness, while fine lines and delicate marks suggest movement through an undefined space.

Rather than depicting a literal landscape, the painting creates an abstract emotional landscape. The scattered forms can be read as fragments of experience, memory or thought gradually approaching one another.

Within my artistic practice, the horizon represents an inner state — a point between what is known and what is still becoming. Approaching Horizon reflects the quiet tension of moving toward that point: not necessarily crossing a boundary, but becoming aware that it is there.

The restrained natural palette and generous areas of open space create a calm yet contemplative atmosphere, allowing the viewer to enter the work intuitively.
