“An evening conversation” is a contemporary narrative painting about intimacy, anticipation, and the feelings that arise when a conversation becomes so engaging that neither person wants it to end.
Before the viewer unfolds an evening view of Prague — a panoramic scene of the historic Staré Město (Old Town) and the Vltava River, gradually sinking into twilight. At the center of the composition rises the famous Old Town Bridge Tower, marking the entrance to Charles Bridge, while to its right can be seen the dome of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi.
One of the distinctive features of the work is that the entire composition resembles a large window opening onto the evening city. The window frame incorporates mirrored elements, creating a remarkable sense of presence: it feels as though the viewer is standing at their own window, watching the scene unfold. Before them is the panorama of Prague, the shimmering river, and two windows inhabited by two lovers engaged in conversation. Through the reflections, the boundary between the painted space and the real world becomes almost invisible — the viewer seems to step inside the story.

Against the recognizable Prague skyline unfolds an intimate story of two people in separate windows. They seem to continue their conversation despite the distance between them. The artist wanted to convey the feeling of a conversation so fascinating that it continues even after darkness falls — at the moment when the city begins to light up and evening gradually turns into night. The glowing windows and reflections on the Vltava become part of this atmosphere, creating a sense of warmth, romance, and emotional closeness.
The artist has also depicted herself in one of the windows, making the self-portrait part of the story. It becomes a personal statement: she is not simply observing what is happening, but is herself drawn into the space of the conversation. The windows are not merely architectural elements; they also become portals between people, connecting different spaces, thoughts, and emotions.

The vivid decorative style and rich shades of blue, gold, orange, and pink transform evening Prague into an almost fairytale-like setting. “An evening conversation” combines elements of contemporary art, surrealism, urban landscape painting, and visual storytelling, turning a real city into a stage for a story about human intimacy and the power of communication.
