Original artwork description
“After the Gods” is an original surrealist painting about a world left behind after the disappearance of those who were once worshipped. The majestic landscape feels both real and almost mythological: among green slopes and snow-covered peaks, a solitary figure walks toward the vast mountains, as if trying to understand what remains of the world that once existed. Above him, fragments of a gigantic ancient god statue emerge through the cracks in space.
The fractured surface of the painting becomes an essential part of the story. It evokes a boundary between past and present, myth and reality, the human world and the unknown space beyond it.
“After the Gods” can be seen as a reflection on what happens when old symbols disappear and a person is left to find their own path.
This contemporary artwork combines elements of surrealism, fantasy, and mythology, created for viewers who are interested not only in the image itself but also in the hidden story within it.
The painting is especially striking in modern, eclectic, or art-focused interiors, where it can become a strong visual statement and a starting point for intriguing conversations.
