Original artwork description
Inspired by the loning for a love long lost to time & space, Lorra Ley's painting presents a captivating female figure, her head gently tilted, with a contemplative gaze directed downwards. Rendered in warm, earthy tones of rich brown and orange for the skin, contrasted with deep black hair, the figure emerges from a verdant olive-green background adorned with stylized white-outlined trees. On the right, textured stones frame her, creating a sense of enclosure.
The artist employs visible brushstrokes, lending a tactile quality to the skin and dark elements, while the prominent, almond-shaped eyes with their radiating lines draw the viewer into the work's introspective mood. This painting showcases a distinctive blend of stylized form and expressive color.
