Sunshine guaranteed (2025) Original Oil Painting by Marco Modiano
50 x 60 x 2cm (unframed) / 50 x 60cm (actual image size)
€700
Original artwork description
The subject is in a highly vulnerable and traditionally sexualised pose, yet her expression is not submissive or inviting. She stares directly at the viewer with an intense, almost challenging glare. This shifts the power dynamic: she is fully aware of being watched and actively reclaims control over her space.
Her raw, slightly tense posture and sharp facial features reject traditional, idealised depictions of female docility. It feels like an act of rebellion against the pressure to appear "perfect" or pleasing to others.
