Gaze (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Maryna Boiko

What do you see when you look into a parrot’s eyes? This one seems to be looking straight at you, as if it has something to say.

I painted this scarlet macaw with bright red and orange feathers against a vivid blue background. I wanted to capture not only its beautiful colours, but also its curious, almost human-like gaze. There is something about this look that makes you stop and look back.

The painting is made with acrylic on a stretched canvas and comes in a decorative wooden frame made with Spanish moulding. It is ready to display and will bring a bright splash of colour and a little tropical character to your home.
