The ‘Cycles’ series chronicles the changing of the seasons and the wax and wane of the moon. Through the lens of the traditional Celtic festivals and the astronomical calendar, these images evoke feelings of mystery and awe, and help us to understand our place in the natural world.
The Spring Equinox festival takes place on the 21st of March, when day and night are equally long. It is a time of joy and hope, as the long winter night finally gives way to the lengthening days. The sun is getting stronger, plants have begun to sprout and life returns to the earth.
