    I've been working on a series based on the Latino celebration, El Dia de los Muertos, for about the last 15 months. Today, I decided to hang all of the work together to see how they played together. This is the result. This series is not yet completed.

    This is a selfie taken in front of my latest painting--part of my El Dia de los Muertos series--moments after it was completed. The idea is to try to show the scale of the painting's size--but selfies aren't exactly my forte'.

    Art of the Dead

    NItram Charcoal, the company that produces the drawing Charcoal I use, decided to make a short video using both my artwork and my harp music. This is the result. The painting and drawing are part of a series I am currently working on based on the Latino celebration for the Day of the Dead--El Dia de Los Muertos. It is celebrated on November 1st and is very popular in New Mexico, where I live. Enjoy!! (Or in Spanish--Disfrute!!)

    Same studio, same hand. Different painting, different season. This is the first of a series called "Road Trippin'." This one is tentatively called "Road Trip Blues." It's in progress, 48" x 60". From an impending storm moving across the Bonneville Salt Flats in Nevada.

    When the desire to paint is stronger than the revulsion of the cold....showing up to paint in spite of the cold is what puts the tiger in the cat!! I have a large studio and a small space heater, so it takes a while to be comfortable...like until the change of the season! This painting is titled "She Dreams of Everything She Is" and was awarded second place at a large, prestigious regional show. Yes, I made the gloves.
