About Pierre Clement

These objects gather together like actors on a stage, expressive, enigmatic and radiant, each piece playing out a quiet drama upon the canvas. I want to impart a dazzling poetry to the material world, whether it be the way sunlight falls on an empty glass or the way a bowl of fruit can assume an almost human character.

A lifelong painter Pierre originally trained as a scenic artist in the theatre, in addition to his studio practice he also works as a decorative artist on commercial and residential projects in the UK and Europe.

Pierre has exhibited widely in London and Paris and has paintings in many private collections in the UK and Europe. Including the Pushkin Museum, Russia.
