    the initial conception of a thought, an idea for an image can be exhausting .... but also rewarding as it is the start of a new project ...

    Nous somme du soleil .. we love when we play ....

    Frequently "lost" to my art for hours at a time - sometimes working through the night, as I work I find the art develops and evolves from an original conception idea both in form and colour. I often work on more than one piece at a time, flitting in thought from one idea to another. I try to use the space I have available to best effect. During shorter winter days I utilize daylight as much as I can but often work late and so have to rely on artificial lighting. Luckily I do get a lot of light and in longer daylight periods of the year can work right through with natural light (although I do have to draw the curtains sometimes even in winter when the sun gets too bright!) and dries the palette too quickly. In addition I am often to be found on all fours trying to clear the floor I have made a mess of ! (it is a thoroughfare to a kitchen area).
