About Neda Krstic

  • Biography

I am Neda Krstic 26. old artist from Serbia. After graduation of high school , I enrolled in the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac (Serbia) , department of Applied Arts, majoring in wall painting.

Colors in the painting is my energy that I carry and project onto the canvas.
Color is my principal means of expression, especially when I paint in technique oil on canvas, because each color has its own symbolism. When I paint portraits usually use the umbra, ocher, skin tones and sepia.

I also sketch, drawing takes a whole different dimension from the painting. I often draw landscapes because I'm trying to  explore the world around me and my inner being. Works were created in the studio as a consequence of the influence of nature.
The drawings are not realistic representations of landscape, they show a picture of my inner being. When I'm drawing, my point suddenly becomes to present the space but also the void.
The tenderness and softness shown as subtle lines, suddenly dynamically grow into a bush or grass. In some works there is a silhouette of birds or thrown bottles as evidence of life and man's constant influence and presence. .
