    Skye Daffodils

    This is me accompanied by my border collie Islay painting "Skye Daffodils" in my sister's garden on the beautiful Isle of Skye, Scotland. I often visit this beautiful Island which is a magnet for artists. As the weather was changeable, I didn't dare venture too far from the house. Since I found the Easter daffodils inspiring against the otherwise muted tones of the background, I set up my easle in my sister's garden to paint this scene on a fresh spring day.

    Me at work painting Portree Harbour. I had to work quickly as the next shower of rain was already heading in! The weather conditions on Skye are always exciting - i.e. inspiring but also a challenge for the outdoor painter! :)
