It often starts with a drawing, sometimes backed up with photos. This all gives me an idea of what I want to paint.

This is what my studio looks like.

I look forward to painting and begin early in the day. I do a lot of planning so that when I arrive down at the studio I can start work straight away. My painting day usually finishes at lunch time, but of course there are still many things to do relating to this painting business!
