    My Painting Surface aka My Dining Room Table

    Here's a shot of my work surface for "The Wisdom of Winter" series, which are all acrylic paintings on paper. My dining room table was covered with thick shipping paper and makes the perfect surface to paint. The light is phenomenal in this room and I plan on keeping the setup going until I need my dining room back!

    "See It With Words" Show at ArtHouse Gallery, Sacramento, CA

    Here's a shot of the main wall in the ArtHouse Gallery, featuring the work of myself and another artist from Sacramento, Michelle Andres. Michelle and I did this show together and based the theme of using abstract paintings with words that inspired the work. Both of us are professional writers and wanted to add another dimension to the visual aspect of the show. The show is up through July 6, 2016 at ArtHouse Gallery in Sacramento, CA. Michelle's work is in the middle underneath the title strip, and my diptychs "The Written Word" is on the left, and "Wishing You Home" are on the right.

    Here is a shot of two diptychs of mine in the "See It With Words" show hanging at ArtHouse Gallery in Sacramento, CA. These two pairs of paintings are called "Mottled Memories" and "Lost at Sea." Each set features a poem that inspired the new work, written by me.

    My garage doubles as a glass studio that holds five kilns and supplies. It is also where I paint when I feel the need to get outside. I often toss up the roll-up door and enjoy the fresh air - especially in the spring and summertime.
