  • Biography
I love the entire journey through a painting. The ideas come from my experiences growing up spending most of my time in the hills and large old oak trees and creeks surrounding my house. I was always a shy, sensitive and intuitive child, easily hurt by human relationships. But being in nature was safe and peaceful and I could be in the present moment.
When I paint I am again experiencing that moment. I am in the trees of light and shadow, dancing with the sensual forms of the hills and branches among the flowers and grasses. Laying in the grass, looking up through the trees experiencing the abstract forms of the dance of light and shadow.
When painting I don’t have to think. I get lost in the feeling of being there.  So I am living my life as a full time artist, because of the craving to get away from the fast paced world we live in. The experience of painting is spiritual and like prayer. It is my connection to the “source”. It comes through me and onto the canvas. I am hoping that you will have the same experience living with a piece of my art too
