    Absorbing new influences on a recent trip to Ambleside

    There's only so much sitting in darkened studio that I can do. Once, twice, maybe three times a year if I'm lucky, I down tools and completely go offline, letting the British landscape remind why I love it so much. This time I was in The Lake District on my annual trip with the male element of my immediate family. As a unit I don't think we are that adventurous, no Sharp Edge for us this time, but we each love to spend some time letting the pace of country life take hold - a walk, some good company, a decent pint and a good feed. Perfect. Hopefully in the coming months you should start to see some new artwork appearing influenced from the time I spent away. At the moment everything is swimming around in my head, fighting for attention.
