    I'm really loving getting lost in the details and colours of my latest series of floral paintings - the feeling of being able to take the picture in any direction I choose is really freeing and so much fun, I am reluctant to leave my studio at the moment!

    Painting and tea ----

    I have just put the finishing touches to this little blue painting, and while I have been working on it I have been drinking lemon and mandarin tea, which is absolutely delicious! The box is in the picture simply because it is still on the work top and at this time of night the best light for snapping a photo is in the kitchen. So, 20cm x 20cm on canvas board - and I have an ingenious way to display this on the wall, of which more tomorrow!

    Finished and varnished - I am so happy with the way this came together. There is something so contained about the image - I can't imagine it carrying on beyond the dimensions of the canvas, which is the way I like it - the painting is a stand-alone object in its own right!
