    I have promised myself a new palette! This one is so overused that to clean it for a new painting would be SO much work and since the palette knives are also old and therefore rather delicate...maybe I will get some new ones, too. Funny, this year seems to be a renewal in all areas of my life without my suspecting that it would happen.

    My new canvas

    My new canvas

    Although I paint professionally, my studio is my world and is my home. I do not need much room, just good light and the right feeling around me. All my paintings I have a vision of before I begin and then it´s all WORK, WORK, WORK! This new painting is going through the process of drawing it on the canvas. I do spend quite some time doing this as I work in oils and do not like to rectify as they are already a difficult medium. Of course always something happens...in the last one a line moved when I was blocking in the colours and, although I felt something was wrong, it took a really long time and several coats to discover what it exactly was.
