Biography
I started painting from 4-year-old-age. Have studied and graduated from Arts College and then - Architectural school of Construction institute.
I love animals and birds and like creating their portraits. Every animal, as every person, possesses its own character and I try to reflect this in my works.
Another subject of painting interesting to me is natural and urban landscape. I am an armenian and spent my childhood and youth in my native land. It is beautiful and ancient, with rocky mountains and Sevan lake, looking like a sea, with swift rivers and severe ancient churches,monasteries and citadels, set high in the mountains, with deep gorges and waterfalls, with apricot, peach and pomegranate gardens and vineyards, with flocks of sheets, with blue sky and hot sun. Picturesque landscapes, intense and bright colors, dark shadows.... I think that's why I seek to explore the nature of form and internal essence of color.
I also try myself in still lives and portraits, but less often.
From time to time I work as an illustrator of some printed editions mostly encyclopedias on history of ancient east civilizations, history of ancient world, medieval and modern history for major Russian publishing houses.
Besides I am keen on making puppets, ceramics, jewelry, collages.
Photography, photo collages, computer graphics are the fields of my serious activities as well.
