About artbyhew

  • Biography

My paintings are inspired by the things I love, animals, architecture, places I have visited when I was young or recently.

Some of the paintings have been inspired by photographs taken by my family or friends, such as Leo a lion who my brother painted when on safari. I hope you find something that you love or can connect with in my collection.

I work in mixed media and love to experiment with new techniques so watch this space for new pieces.

I support many varying charities through the sale of my work and will give a brief explanation as to why in the description section of my artwork.

    Best Animal Portrait

I was awarded the Best Animal Portrait award by Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists for my painting of Mufasa.
This really meant a lot to me because of the sentimental value of my painting and everything Mufasa represents.
