  • Biography
    Alen Grbic was born in 1989 and he is professional artist that paints the beautiful landscape scenery of Southeastern Europe, mainly his country land of Bosnia and Herzegovina, yet he is not limited to landscapes. His zest and love for still life paintings provides Alen with continued growth as an artist. They show the relationship between each item selected as a subject and how the lighting and shadows of the subjects play an important role and demonstrate the skill and advancement of a particular artist within those paintings. The colors begin to capture the viewer but lighting, shadows and an artist’s specific signature brush strokes begin to ease into the viewers mind and bring out strong emotions of beauty and pleasantness of those objects painted.

    Mr. Grbic graduated from the Academy of Fine Art located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2013. As a student, Alen felt closeness with the works of Romantic British painter John Constable (1776 – 1837) with his English landscapes, Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn (1606 – 1669) who was a master in painting portraits and French painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796 – 1875) know for his landscapes. This inspired Alen to spend his extra hours in continuous practice of early sketches of landscapes where Alen grew up, trying to envision how his predecessors would approach each painting based upon their sketches.
