Biography
I’m Kester Hew Crawford, a printmaker and oil painter living in rural Norfolk. I trained as an architect and it was during these many years studying design that I fell in love with art.
Through my artworks I aim to capture the feeling of delight and tranquillity that the rural environment brings to me in the hopes it may enlighten those who cannot feel it or excite those who already do. At the very least I try to document the world I value whilst it is still there to enjoy.
I primarily work in oil paints and hand pressed linoleum cut prints and I am constantly searching for different approaches and techniques for using these mediums to enable me to represent the rural landscapes I know so well and cherish so dearly in new and inspiring ways.
I am currently represented by The Point Contemporary gallery in Cromer, Norfolk.
