This is a variation of a study into Japanese crane images that are often simultaneously bold and delicate.
I am experimenting with different colours here as my first painting of this subject was much greener. I kept the composition the same by carefully placing all objects in exactly the right spaces to create a pleasing balance of visual information. Zen and the Art of Feng shui.
