Artist's description:

This piece is a black encaustic painting (bees wax, damar, pigment) on nine wood panels, that piece together to make a 42” x 33” painting. The paint surface is rich and highly textured. The spaces where there is no paint show the raw wood of the pine panels.

The title refers to a song. Like music, paintings can be full of feeling, while not always having a narrative. My goal with these abstract pieces is to leave the shapes open to interpretation, so the painting can act as a mirror of sorts. The viewer should see what they bring to it.

This piece comes packed disassembled with simple hanging instructions. I will enclose “Command Strips”, which allow for easy hanging, unframed, on any smooth wall. (Framing can be a nice option as well.)

I ship via USPS. Sometimes there are customs fees for delivery in foreign countries. I can not be responsible for customs fees, but I will be happy to reimburse for any shipping overages paid.

Materials used:

Nine wood panels, beeswax, graphite, damar
