Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Yamuna - daughter of Surya, the Sun, and twin of Yama, God of death - purifies the land in her earthly form of a river. She patiently cleanses day by day, moment by moment. She washes away the sins of shame, anger, fear and disgust, and transforms these into pure love. These riches she carries into the River Ganges, where they become liberation itself.
