Artist's description:

“World Series Cairn” is a strange name for a still-life painting. I'm one of those people that can't stand to just sit and watch a baseball or football game. I just gotta be doing something. Often, I set up little still lifes by me chair and make numerous sketches and drawings while the game is going on. This one turned into an extensive detailed drawing.

“World Series Cairn” is based on the drawing I created during game six of the 2011 World Series between the St Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers. The Cardinals pulled out a come-from-behind win in the eleventh inning of that game, and the Cardinals would go on to win the World Series the next night. I had long forgotten the drawing until recently when I looking through my drawing pad and decided to create this oil painting,

It is framed in a hand crafted "Art and Crafts" frame that I also made. 17X14 Oil on board. About 25X 22 framed. A print of the original drawing is included with the painting and frame.
