Artist's description:

Creating imaginary book covers allows me to project into the work preoccupations that are otherwise difficult to realize in the visual medium. This work is religious and is inspired by the fact that Mary Magdalene found the tomb where Christ had been buried after he had been brought down from the Cross empty. She and the others had found the stone had been rolled from the mouth of the tomb. I would very much like to find a means of better depicting this event but the present work is a step towards the creation of that work.

There are other dimensions to the work but viewers will be able to determine for themselves.
