Original artwork description:

I wanted to give ‘Woodsey Owl’ a natural look with wood beads and turquoise. Owls just carry a presence that you can feel. Even art has that quality. I personally haven’t run into any in the wild so they are even more mysterious to me. They are known for their attributes. I learned a lot about the character of animals when I lived in South Dakota. The Lakota tribe has many stories about animals and they are meant to teach wisdom and have been passed down through generations. This understanding really broadened my perspective. Everything is part of Nature and we are one.
