Another in the trees series; this time with a wolf lurking in the foreground...what does she see?
Trees angled, as though frozen in the midst of battle. The skies glorious, as they always are. Looking up you will find an inspiration of colour and movement.
I have been making things and painting things since childhood. Those days were spent living deep in the countryside nestled between woodland and lakes, an inspiration still.
The Solid insistence of nature; her transience...cycles of growth and decay, vulnerability and magic inform the mood and subject matter of my art works.
Sheffield (in Yorkshire, England) is famed for being the greenest city in Europe, the landscape is glorious with majestic mature trees, sweeping across the seven hills. From my studio I take in these views, witnessing and finding inspiration from the emotionally charged landscape that stretches out towards the moorlands of the Peak District national park.
