Original artwork description:

This green peafowl painting was created in the freehand brush painting style over rice paper. The freehand painting style is great at capturing the spirit of an animal while leaving great space for imagination and interpretation. This piece of art describes the two beautiful birds sharing their love among blooming blossoms, and the title comes from a sentence from a Tang Dynasty poetry, meaning "coming back from beyond the clouds, the feathers are decorated with the colour of jade". This is a very fitting title for these amazing and very rare green peafowls.

Peacock paintings in the oriental world represent elegance, class, and virtue. These birds are seen as the closest representation of the Phoenix, an auspicious and protective animal.
